Who am I?

I’m the son of a Fish and Chip shop owner; that’s right, my mum and dad made their money in Fish and Chips! At the age of 7 we went from living in a comfortable home, to a small flat with no central heating above a chippy. My dad was a street kid and he has always been my hero. He is truly a man who came from nothing and made his life everything. One thing’s for sure; if you’re not chasing discomfort, it is chasing you.

Fast forward 40 years, to now. After being kicked out of university, I had a career in banking, working at some of the most prestigious banks in the world, from the back office to the trading floor. After 10 years in the city, I gave up my desk jockey life, took a 100% pay cut overnight, and became a photographer and filmmaker. At the same time, I became a personal trainer and coach, 15 years later with a successful business running behind me, I now work solely as a Coach.

I have confidence, drive, and determination in abundance. At the same time, I pride myself on practicing kindness and compassion.

My resolution that anything is possible comes from many places, but there is one particular story that underpins this belief. Last year I was lucky enough to work with a homeless gentleman; I took him off the streets and worked with him to provide him with a place to live, some food, and stable money. It was emotionally and intellectually challenging for us both, but we grew together. We learned from each other and both gave this challenge the energy it required. Six months later, he was back in work and had a new home he could call his own. Experiences like this come from the heart but stay with me all the time.

I have continually pushed my coaching life further and now help others make the change they simply feel is well out of their reach, give them the confidence, and even better, the charisma that has helped me get to where I am now. Working closely with my clients, I get enormous pleasure in passing on my experience and changing their lives too. Our experiences may not be the same, but our desire for change and success is a shared goal.

If you are looking to make a change, then let’s have a chat. Creating a life for yourself that’s an upgrade on the present is easier than you might think.
